Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated September 19, 2026
Draft for legal review. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and highlighted passages are still to be decided.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. “Session” cookies are deleted when you close your browser or sign out; “persistent” cookies stay for a set time or until you delete them. R3adli uses only the cookies it needs to work.
2. Cookies We Use
All of the cookies R3adli sets are essential:
- Sign-in session (
better-auth.session_token): keeps you signed in as you move around R3adli and links your browser to your session, including which child profile is active and whether kids' mode is locked. It expires after 8 hours without activity, or when you sign out. - Google sign-in (
better-auth.state): set only while you sign in with Google, to check that the reply really comes from the sign-in you started. It expires within minutes.
Our sign-in cookies can't be read by scripts on the page and are only sent over encrypted connections. We protect against cross-site request forgery by checking where each request comes from, not with an extra cookie.
Other companies: the sign-up page includes Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you are a person and may use its own cookies or similar storage for that check. Payments happen on Stripe's own pages, under Stripe's cookie policy. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
3. Future Analytics
We don't use analytics cookies. If we ever add them, we will:
- update this policy first;
- ask for your consent where the law requires it; and
- give you a clear way to accept or decline them.
We will never use analytics or advertising cookies in kids' mode.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can view and delete cookies in your browser settings: in Chrome, Settings → Privacy and security; in Firefox, Settings → Privacy & Security; in Safari, Settings → Privacy; in Edge, Settings → Cookies and site permissions. If you block R3adli's cookies, you won't be able to sign in or use your account, so we recommend keeping them on.
